Portrait of a Prez
An entry for Sunday, April 4. A portrait of the Sock-Puppet-in-Chief made up of photos of American military who have died in Iraq.
Impeach now.

Scum of the earth.
The lying bastards at the RNC are telling TV stations that it's illegal to run anti-Bush ads. Is there nothing that the fuckers won't do?

Shocked, shocked! about criminal behavior by congressional republicans.
Well, big surprise here: Congressional study shows that republican aides illegally downloaded confidential files and then lied about it. What else is a big surprise? Their bosses, the congressmen, see nothing wrong with it.
And okay, give credit where it's due: Orrin Hatch was outraged by the theft of Democratic files, and instituted the sergeant-at-arms investigation.

NH results.
Okay, I'm now ready for the media to stop paying attention to Kucinich and Sharpton. Yesterday's results are now available, and Sharpton got exactly three times as many votes as Dubya did - on the Democratic side of the primary. Sharpton got 345 votes. That's it. He got even fewer than Gephardt did, and Gephardt had already dropped out of the race.
It's time to go away, Al. Right now.

Bush's trip to Great Britain.
I remember the good old days when Nicholas von Hoffman was a columnist in the Washington Post. That probably dates me. But the good news for today is that he's still around and still writing. Here's a column on Dubya's trip to Great Britain that is published on The Smirking Chimp.
Key Quote: "No other world public figure rivals George W. Bush in low esteem. The man is despised everywhere. He is a universal hate object. You might think that distinction would have been conferred on Bush's friend, the thug-ugly Vladimir Putin, whose hands are red from his atrocities in Chechnya, but no, the globally reviled politician is the American president."

Powerful advertisement.
Hard-hitting, makes its point well. If only it were for a candidate with a chance of winning.
